More Utah Fun! The Zoo, Air Force Museum, and Harvest Party

Brian and I brought our kids down to Utah to Hogle Zoo.  The kids had never been to Hogle Zoo.  The giraffes and the elephants were the favorites.  We had tons of fun together.  The next morning we were on our way to Grandpa Mortensen's for the Harvest Party with all the cousins.  We were a little early so we spontaneously decided to stop at the Air Force Museum to look around.  Michael was in heaven.  The girls were moderately interested, but boy little Michael was excited.  Loves airplanes just like his daddy.

Family Reunion in Deer Creek, Utah

Landon's wife, Janell, and her two boys arranged for us to stay the night in a cabin and we were able to see Lence's family and have tons of fun in Utah.  We went to the Resevoir and swam, had a potluck lunch, threw rocks in the river, went four wheeling, hiked to Bridal Veil Falls, and roasted marshmallows on a fire.  Brian and Connor and Rocky even came and visited us while we were down there.  So much fun!  Smile emoticon

To the Sand Dunes We Go!

We decided to take another fun day trip to the Sand Dunes.  The kids had never been there before and our days of warm weather we knew were quickly coming to a close.  So, we packed everyone up and headed to the Sand Dunes.  Michael loved getting dirty and exploring with free reign in the sand. The kids practiced sledding and rolling down the hills.  We ended up hiking quite a ways to find the mysterious cause of a whole lot of smoke (and discovering that there was a real fire!)  We finished our expedition just in time before the rain came.

Boys will be Boys

I was cleaning out the car and Michael was determined to be part of the action.  He climbed in the Suburban and started exploring, pushing buttons, trying on my sunglasses, and "driving" the car.  He sure is the cutest little guy.  I love having a little boy!

Getting Lost...in a Corn Maze

We all went to the Corn Maze for the first time as a family and had a wonderful time getting lost, finding each other again, only to repeat it many times!  (and then there was the occasional random piece of corn flying around.)  Smile emoticon

Expedition to Craters of the Moon

Brian and his boys and us decided to take a day trip to Craters of the Moon National Monument.  We had a fabulous time exploring and hiking.  The best part was climbing down into the cave and finding our way through the back.  The kids were such good little hikers.  They sure impressed their mom!
