Halloween!

This is the rundown for Halloween this year:  Laurie--Juliet   Megan--Hermione from Harry Potter   Rachel--Royal Queen  Connor--Harry Potter   Rocky--Spiderman   Hannah--A Princess   Michael--Winnie the Pooh

Phew!  It is an amazing feat to get 7 kids ready for Halloween (sometimes multiple times with all the parties!)  We had lots of fun, though!  :)

This year the Melaleuca SELC was in BEAUTIFUL and AMAZING Florida.  Brian and I had a wonderful time.  We flew on Frank's private plane and let me just tell you--that is the ONLY way to travel.  :)  We had a little bit of time between meetings one of the days and we went to the Everglades.  What a site!  We took a AirBoat around the Everglades.  We saw crocodiles, a raccoon, and much more!  It was so amazing.  I cannot believe how fast those Airboats can go!  We finished it all up with a couple's massage. 

Before we left we ran our first race ever (for both of us!).  It was only a 5K but we made good time and finished together.  :) :) :)

I love that man.

Laurie and Hannah Birthdays!

For Laurie's birthday, instead of getting presents she wanted to buy some supplies for the animal shelter.  I was proud of her for that.  We picked up food, beds, toys, and other supplies and took them to the animal shelter.  We spent time with the animals.  It was a wonderful experience.

Then Laurie and Hannah both got to invite some friends (and their brothers and sisters of course) to the Gymnastics Place to have a birthday party there.

SLC Childrens' Museum FUN!

We all went down to Utah to go to Grandpa Mortensen's Harvest Party.  The day before we went to the Children's Discovery Museum and ate at The Mayan Restaurant.

Horses and Fishing in Island Park

We wanted to go ONE last time before the weather got too cold.  Nothing beats this special country oasis.  There are horses, fishing, canoeing, and we had the biggest most amazing cabin ever.  Good times!

Grapes...and SNOW

We went back to our old house to clean out the garden beds.  And to our surprise we discovered GRAPES.  Lence and I had planted grapevines along the side of our garage a few years ago and now they are producing.  And DELICIOUS they were!!!

We also in the same period of time experience our first bout of snow up in Comore Loma.  BBBRRRRRRR!!!!
