Eating Clams at the Bistro

So we were driving and HUNGRY.  We stopped at this little Bistro Restaurant and Brian decided we ALL needed to try clams.  Ummmmm...yeah....  Not our favorite experience, but one we will DEFINITELY remember!

On the Way to Paul Bunyon!

As we drove along the beautiful coast of Oregon to a more popular tourist spot, we stopped for pictures at the most amazing place off the side of the road.  I told the story of Paul Bunyon to the children and they loved it when we saw him.  He actually talked to us--ALOT.  The kids thought that was great and it was hard getting them to leave.  We also took a gondola ride up the mountain side.  We got to behold the beauty of the forest from up above.

Sea Lion Caves!

I haven't been here since I was five years old!  But even at that young age I remember seeing all the sea lions basking on the rocks.  It was an extremely foggy day that day, but we were still able to see everything.  Brian was so sweet and surprised me and bought me a seal stuffed animal as we were leaving.

Excursion to the Oregon Caves

A couple years ago Brian, Frank, and the boys took a trip to the Oregon Caves. He wanted to show us. Everyone could go except Michael. You have to be tall enough to walk up steep steps. So we took turns taking the kids. A most fantastic and curious place!

The Oregon Coast in its Beauty

When the kids first saw the ocean they couldn't help themselves--they ran into the water fully clothed!  Later we changed into swimsuits, but it was a marvelous site to see the wonder and excitement in the kids enjoying the beauties of nature.

The Incredible Redwood Forest!!!

Unless you have been here yourself you really can't appreciate the vastness and the size and magnitude of the trees.  It truly is one of the most beautiful sites I have ever seen.  So incredible.  So amazing.
